None of them, however, are like Nate Diaz.Diaz, one of the last remaining rebels in the UFC, makes his return to the Octagon on Saturday night when he faces Anthony Pettis in the co-main event at UFC 241 in Anaheim. It’s the first fight in nearly three years, and fans can’t wait to see him back in the Octagon.Well, Diaz, whose love of smoking pot is well known, had something special for his fans on Wednesday when he started smoking a joint during his open workout at The Honda Center. He then handed the joint to a fan in the crowd and the place went nuts.Turns out it was a CBD joint, which would make sense since he still has to be able to fight Saturday night: Diaz said the joint was CBD, his own line from Game Up Nutrition. CBD is legal in- and out-of-competition in the UFC’s anti-doping policy. Diaz said he’ll have to save the THC for after the fight since it’s prohibited in-competition.— Marc Raimondi (@marc_raimondi) August 15, 2019Here he is lighting the thing up, something we’ve never seen before at an open workout: Open workout or open smokeout? @NateDiaz209 just lit up a blunt on stage ahead of— MMA Junkie (@MMAjunkie) August 15, 2019Dana White didn’t seem too thrilled about it: Here are some scenes from the smoke out: It’s cool, though.
