Chrissy Teigen’s dry wit might be a hit on social media, but it’s not helping bring many viewers to Bring the Funny, and now her job on the ABC comedy competition is in jeopardy, gossip writer A.J. Benza can report in his Fame column exclusively on RadarOnline.com.
Network executives hired the former Sports Illustrated bombshell — alongside SNL’s Keenan Thompson and Jeff Foxworthy — largely because of her presence on social media, which includes 11.4 million Twitter followers.
But the curious move, which was questioned by many comedy fans, hasn’t helped the flailing show.
And honchos at ABC aren’t laughing. “There were objections in the room right away,” a source tells Fame. “‘Why are we hiring a former supermodel to judge a comedy competition?’ But…the decision was made anyway. And now there are regrets.”
The source went on to say, if the show gets a second season, Teigen will most likely be replaced by someone with a background in stand-up comedy.
Naomi Campbell ‘Keeping Low Profile’ After It Was Revealed She Was Friends With Disgraced Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
Naomi Campbell is telling friends she needs to keep a low profile and keep her fabulous nightlife to a minimum, after reports surfaced that she was known to be friends with dead, disgraced pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, gossip writer A.J. Benza can report in his Fame column exclusively on RadarOnline.com.
The 49-year-old supermodel maintains she was merely introduced to the financier at her 31st birthday party thrown by her then-boyfriend, Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.
But sources tell Fame, Campbell is really shook about her association with Epstein and wants to try and shed her image as a late night legend.
“Everywhere she goes, Epstein’s name is thrown at her,” a source said. “It’s gotten so bad that she can’t even have a champagne without a remark. She thinks it best she disappear for a while.”
