Wrestler Chris Jericho reports theft of his AEW championship belt in Florida

CLOSEProfessional wrestling star Chris Jericho found himself on the receiving end of a dirty trick outside the ring during a recent visit to Tallahassee, Florida — the theft of one of his championship belts. A purported police report or dispatch note making the rounds online says that Jericho reported the theft of the belt while he was dining Sunday night at Longhorn Steakhouse on North Monroe Street.Jericho arrived at the Million Air terminal and placed the championship belt inside his rented limousine alongside someone else’s luggage he mistakenly picked up, according to the report. After dropping him off at Longhorn, the driver returned to the airport.The belt was discovered missing after the driver came back to the restaurant to pick him up. Responding officers searched the limo and the airport but couldn’t find the belt.Tallahassee Police confirm that this is real. The Tallahassee Democrat has asked for a copy of the report, but did not receive it Tuesday.“All I know is the championship belt was reported stolen,” Miller said.Jericho, one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, won the All Elite Wrestling championship title over the weekend.
