In the trailer for “Like a Boss,” Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne play two best friends rising in the fashion industry who turn to a beauty queen played by Salma Hayek for help, only for things to get ugly fast.
Haddish and Byrne have a successful business, but they’re deep in debt. And though Hayek motivates them to take charge, she’s really just out to steal their ideas and business. Soon they’re throwing punches, dangling from perilous railings and even smashing breasts together as they all try to prove they’re the boss.
“You don’t have to worry your pretty little head,” Haddish says to Hayek. “My head is not little. It’s just that my breasts are humongous,” she replies.
Miguel Arteta, who directed Hayek in the indie drama “Beatriz at Dinner,” directs “Like a Boss,” which also features Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair and Karan Soni.
Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly wrote the screenplay and also co-wrote the story with Danielle Sanchez-Witzel.
Marc Evans, Peter Principato, Joel Zadak and Itay Reiss are the producers, and Haddish is an executive producer along with Nicolas Stern.
Paramount Pictures is releasing “Like a Boss” on Jan. 10, 2020. Watch the first trailer above.
