The Modern Family star was ordered to fork over a whopping $79,392.26 to ex-fiancé Nick Loeb for attorney fees, according to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.
A Los Angeles judge decided on the amount after Loeb recently demanded the actress pay him a cool $120,000 for attorney fees.
Vergara argued her ex wasn’t entitled to any amount but unfortunately for the Latina heartthrob, the judge sided with Loeb, although not giving him the full amount he originally requested.
She argued the motion “should be denied or heavily reduced to the extent it is based on block billing and seeks fees and costs for services not shown to be related to the successful portion of the anti-SLAPP motion.”
However, in court documents obtained by Radar on Monday, the judge stated: “Based on the foregoing, the Court GRANTS the motion and orders that Plaintiff pay the Defendant’s attorney’s fees in the amount of $76,433, and costs in the amount of $2,959.26. Payment shall be made within 30 days of notice of this ruling.”
As Radar readers know, Loeb, 44, and Vergara, 47, dated for several years before they split in 2014.
They had two frozen embryos at the time and the terms of their arrangement required consent from both of them before they could be brought to term.
The two pre-embryos were created and survived to viability and were then placed in cryogenic storage, where they remain today.
But after calling it quits in 2014, Loeb decided he wanted to fight for full custody of the embryos and bring them to term.
However, the actress argued this violated their agreement.
The case is still ongoing.
