Forty-eight hours after Muhammad Ali’s death in June 2016, Piers Morgan tweeted that the boxer was more racist than Donald Trump. Teigen and her husband, John Legend, came to the late star’s defense. “You could test us by announcing your retirement,” Legend tweeted at Morgan. Teigen then replied to her husband, tweeting: “From what? Trolling isn’t a job (I’ve tried).”

Vitamix and NutriBullet

The cookbook author joked about igniting a Twitter war between blender companies Vitamix and NutriBullet. After tweeting that Vitamix started following her immediately after she mentioned the company on Twitter in June 2016, NutriBullet tweeted at the star: “That’s why you need a #NutriBullet.” “Oh shiiieeet BleNdeR WArrrS!!!” the stunner jokingly responded to both companies.

Donald Trump

The model has gotten into numerous feuds with the president. In November 2015, Teigen called the controversial businessman a “t–t,” prompting him to tweet that his wife, Melania Trump, is better looking than her. “Lol poor melania doesn’t need to be dragged into this,” Teigen tweeted. “She goes through enough already.”

 

Nearly four years later, in September 2019, Donald called Legend “boring” and referred to Teigen as the singer’s “filthy mouthed wife” in a late-night Twitter rant. In response, the Cravings author wrote, “Lol what a p–sy ass bitch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president.”

Nutrition-Savvy Followers

Taco Bell and Velveeta lover Teigen got into a Twitter war with some of her nutrition-savvy followers in July 2016 over her use of the phrase “clean eating.” After a fan said that clean eating is a myth, she tweeted: “OK everyone relax, I’m not a nutritionist and by clean I mean ‘not Velveeta.’ Clean, to me, is something without 1000 ingredients With words I can pronounce. I didn’t mean to be #PROBLEMATIC.”

Leigh Whannell

Teigen got into a spat with Saw screenwriter Leigh Whannell in July 2013 after she tweeted that she laughed during Whannell’s friend James Wan’s film The Conjuring. “Well. Keeping with my apparent theme of being a complete contrarian, I did not find the conjuring scary at all and mostly laughed to myself,” Teigen wrote, to which Whannell responded: “Models talking — now that’s chuckle worthy.”

In May 2013, Teigen went after the New York Post after it published a story claimingLegend was cheating on her: “The @nypost is normally so kind to me. And I am normally not the one to use the term s–t rag so I guess we’re both a little off today. Gonna buy a parrot for the sole reason of it s–tting on the post every day.”

Planned Parenthood Haters

After a gunman killed three people at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado in November 2015, the model tweeted that she would be donating to the organization. Some of her followers didn’t agree with her decision, so she told them to “f–k off” and said that they’re “idiots.” “Nothing is ever good enough for you, is it?” she tweeted at one Twitter follower. “How about you donate?”

New Mom Critics

Teigen got slammed on Instagram and Twitter for going out to Hollywood hot spot the Nice Guy in April 2016, just two weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Luna. “I went to dinner. People are pissed,” she tweeted along with a screenshot of negative comments. After one follower asked her “How’s baby Luna?” Teigen jokingly responded: “I dunno I can’t find her.”

In July 2016, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star called out Twitter’s user support while defending Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones, who was being attacked by racist trolls. “I love you, @Twitter. I love you so much. But please get it together. Stand up for your users who deserve better,” Teigen tweeted at the social media platform. “Maybe I’ll quit everything, move up to San Fran and sit at Twitter HQ and do it myself.” Twitter later banned the abusive users from their accounts.
